What can YOU do to help?
1. You can make a Tax-Deductible Financial Donation
Your donation is used to purchase the fresh foods and drinks for a "cookout" and 100% of ALL DONATED MONEY goes to buy food, plates, cups, utensils, drinks and supplies. No one is paid for their time or services, as we do everything with volunteers. We're able to feed 1 hungry person a complete hot meal for only $3.25, so there's no such thing as a "small" donation. Every donation is a blessing!

- Plastic Cups (16 oz.)
- Plastic Utensils (pre-wrapped)
- Styrofoam Plates (12" round)
- Heavy-duty Aluminum Foil
- Paper Towels
- Paper Napkins
- Meats
- Side Dishes
- Tea
- Desserts or Cookies
2. You can become a volunteer
Few things can compare to the feeling of satisfaction that you'll get when helping others. If you'd like to volunteer your time at one of our cookouts, we can always use a hand with cooking, serving or clean-up. We post our events on the Calendar Page of our website, and we'll even send you a short "reminder" email at least a week in advance, so that you'll have plenty of time to plan for a project. Volunteering is fun! To sign-up, just fill-out the Volunteer Form, and we'll let you know when our next cookout is going to take place. Feel free to bring a friend!
3. Join the "Word of Mouse" Club :-)
What's the EASIEST thing you can do to help us? Please click on the blue "Email This Site" button at the bottom of any page and let your friends know about us. It's easy, private and doesn't cost a penny. One of your friends might want to make a donation or become a volunteer! By referring our website, you help to increase the awareness of Houston's poor, homeless and hungry. If your referrals reach just one extra person who donates their time or money, we can feed more hungry people. Isn't it worth the "quick-click"? Of course! :-)
